Prospective SINS Congress organizers are invited to submit a proposal for SINS 2025 – The twenty-first National Congress of the Italian Society for Neuroscience.

Proposals are open to all SINS members from organizations and institutions, public and private, interested in hosting the event.

Proposals should include the following information:

  • proposing organization, including its experience in planning large-scale scientific events;
  • proposed congress venue, including ability to accommodate large numbers of participants, facilities and accessibility;
  • proposed preliminary scientific program, including a description of the main topics to be addressed during the conference;
  • planning details: availability of accommodation, catering services, technical equipment, etc.;
  • preliminary budget, including estimated costs of organization and expected expenses for participants;
  • list of potential sponsors and the indicative amounts they are expected to provide;

The proposals should be submitted no later than July 3rd, 2023, by email to the SINS Secretariat at, attaching the submitting form.

SINS Governing Board will select the proposal that best satisfies the selection criteria, which include the quality of the proposal, the ability of the proposing organization to plane a large event, and the possibility of implementing the proposed event. To ensure appropriate rotation over the years, when proposals are evaluated equally, priority will be given to locations located in the south or center of Italy, SINS Governing Board may reject all proposals if no one matches the selection criteria.

Prospective SINS 2025 organizers may be requested to present their proposal at one of the next SINS Governing Board meetings.

If the proposal is accepted, the proposers will have to comply with the guidelines provided by SINS, as well as provide regular updates on the planning of the event.

SINS 2025 will be announced on September 16th, 2023, at the SINS General Assembly scheduled during the Congress.
