Best Poster Award

The Best Poster Award is a well-established tradition of the SINS Congress and reflects the Society’s ongoing commitment to promoting scientific excellence and encouraging the active participation of young neuroscientists.

Poster sessions represent a key moment of the meeting, offering a unique space for sharing research results, stimulating discussion, and fostering collaborations within the community. Through this Award, SINS aims to acknowledge and reward the most remarkable contributions presented in Pisa.

Award Categories

Presenting Authors of the ten (10) highest-scoring Abstracts selected for poster presentation will be recognized as SINS Outstanding Poster Presenters. Each awardee will receive a prize of € 250 and will be granted one year of free SINS membership.

Authors of Abstracts ranked from eleven (11) to twenty (20) will also be acknowledged for the quality of their contribution and will receive one year of free SINS membership.

Evaluation Process

During the Congress, an Award Committee composed of members of the SINS Governing Board, the Local Organizing Committee and the SINS Young Committee will carry out the evaluation during the official poster sessions.

In these time slots, when presenting authors are required to be available at their posters, the Committee will visit the stands, meet the presenters and assess their work.

The assessment will be based on scientific quality and relevance, originality of the study, and clarity of the Poster and of the discussion with the presenter.

Please note that the Best Poster Award can only be assigned to Authors who are SINS members.

Award Ceremony

The names of the awardees will be officially announced during the Closing Ceremony of SINS 2025 in Pisa.
